About Me & Contact

    Welcome!

Hi, I'm Daisy, and I'm an aspiring pharmacist. I just completed my A-Levels (as of June 2026), and I hope to start university in September 2026. I have two reduced offers for MPharm (Master of Pharmacy) from my dream university and a high-ranking university. I've been predicted above the grade requirements for these offers throughout my time at college, so I hope to make it into my firm university!

I created this blog to not only document my journey into becoming a pharmacist, sharing any projects I do, and then also my hobbies + things I do outside of education (e.g. travel, concerts, etc).

    From Physics to Pharmacy

My A-Levels were chemistry, mathematics, and physics; I picked this combo when I was in Year 11 and an aspiring nuclear engineer - I had plans of going through this career by doing a degree apprenticeship. However, once I started my A-Levels, I realised physics probably wasn't a route I was cut out for, and I developed a strong passion for chemistry. I'm so grateful for all of the teachers I had whilst at sixth form, as they all encouraged my passion and helped me achieve the best grades possible, even after a rough start to Year 12. I hope this blog can maybe inspire people to pursue their passions in a way my teachers inspired me!

    My Interests

Outside of academics, I like to spend my time reading, baking, crocheting, and exercising! I'm currently into weightlifting, but I'm trying to get into running and Pilates to improve my overall fitness.

In the past, I've volunteered at a charity shop and a primary school; however, I haven't volunteered throughout Year 13 to allow myself to focus on my A-Levels. I hope to return to volunteering at the same charity shop, begin volunteering at two local food banks, and (if I get a B in maths), volunteer with Action Tutoring to help with Year 5/6 maths at local primary schools. I think volunteering is a good way to give back to my community, whilst also building experience for when I begin applying to pharmacy job roles in the future, as I believe it shows my dedication to helping people. I've also contacted my sixth form to ask about their programme where alumni return to help with mentoring students, and my physics teacher has told my friends and I to keep an eye on our emails in case they ask for us to come and give an inspirational talk to next year's Year 13s - which is something I'd like to do as physics is something I've struggled with the most. However, through testing different revision methods, I've managed to score much higher and become much more confident in the subject!

I would also like to say that any posts which delve into anything healthcare-based should not be taken as any sort of medical advice. I am a student, and so everything I say should be taken with a pinch of salt, as it will typically just be things I found whilst researching!
